The cool, crisp chill in the air last night reminded me of how fast things can change.
Summer is saying its final goodbyes, as daylight leaves and the evening Moon begins to rise.
And at some point, if you look at the evening sky at the right time, you can spot the Sun setting and the Moon rising at the same time.
As if the Sun is explaining its day, as the Moon ushers in the night.
At this time, the sky presents streaks of vibrant red and yellow against its blue.
The clouds slowly disappear, and the trees become still as their leaves slowly begin to drop.
Not as colorful as the sky just yet.
But it’s a preview of what’s to come.
The smell of burning wood in a loud, cracking fire fills the air, and a smile appears on my face.
I began to imagine myself curled up next to it as I wrapped my arms around my body. Slowly moving them up and down to keep warm.
Autumn is almost here, and if you pay close enough attention, you can hear it ringing its silent alarm.
